Art Studio by Grant Berg

This photo is almost a year ago to the day since Enframe Construction came into the back yard with pre built panels and put it up, the windows were here waiting ready for install and a winter of sculpting. Enframe also built the 1st one, but were able to pre build that one as a single unit and deliver, due to a lack of access to the yard, this one came as panels.

Of course this is a smaller version of my acreage studio.  The other was built to store tools and serve as a start to finish space. In the city, the tools get locked in the garage and most polishing happens on the deck or in the house. This is just for the dirty work and control of the noise and dust.

It is a scaled down version of the acreage studio, maintaining the shape, large windows and glass overhead door.

The view here is amazing as well, unbelievable for a city lot.  It makes it easy to spend time in there.

For quick comparison, the acreage studio. 24 feet long with 9 ft high windows. I think my window budget would exceed the windows budget on many new homes.

Next summer I will insulate and drywall and add flooring.  This summer the primary focus was get enough pieces for the show and balance the studio in spare time.
