SUMMARY:The Healing Power of Art & Music: A Guided Journey
DESCRIPTION:Gallery owner Grant Berg takes you on a journey of art and music appreciation. When Grant was a youth he went through a period of devastating health issues. While in the hospital\, Grant found the healing powers of both music and art which he still utilizes to this day to persevere the challenges of life and the world around us. In what should have been the darkest days of his life\, he found beauty. \nGrant is a former radio announcer and now artist and gallery owner and he will teach you how to use art and music to quiet your mind and appreciate the beauty in the world. In a busy modern day\, there seems to be little time to simply be and quiet the mind. Creativity is a uniquely human trait and is a form of communication artists use to touch the soul on a deep level with an Indigenous lens. \nIn this tour\, Grant invites you to open your mind and dispel the worries of the everyday\, providing tools to use everyday. Through various exercises and prompts\, Grant helps unlock the beneficial effects of having music and art as part of our everyday lives. 50 minutes
