Linny D Vine’s distinctive contemporary paintings are treasured in private and corporate collections worldwide. Her unique paintings transport their viewer into a magical world of nostalgia and joy. Linny paints with oils and acrylics either in her studio or en plein air. She combines expressive brushwork, exceptional design skills, and vivid imagination to create paintings that celebrate life with all its wonderful imperfections and character. Her colorful, evocative paintings are often compared to the work of the Group of Seven, Emily Carr, and Vincent van Gogh. Linny has taken part in numerous solo exhibitions and important group exhibitions in public and private galleries across North America. Her work has featured in a variety of magazines and literature, plus she been interviewed about her art for print media and television. Linny received numerous awards in FCAA juried shows as well as in the juried Victoria LOOK shows. She has been nominated in, and placed as best Victoria Artist two years running. Plus, Linny is Honored as Significant Artist of BC Canada by CACGV. Linny was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and currently lives near Victoria, British Columbia.
